Aydınoğulları Tomb
Overview
The tomb, which was built in 1333 for Aydınoğlu Mehmet Bey and his sons İsa Bey, İbrahim Bahadır Bey and Aydın Bey Gazi Umur Bey, has a square plan and is made of limestone. It is covered with an octagonal dome and has three windows. There are star-shaped tiles in dark blue and turquoise colors at the corners of the tomb and its interior is decorated with tiles. There is a medallion made of mosaic tiles in the middle of the dome. However, most of the mosaic tiles used in the dome and drum fell off due to humidity. The tomb has survived to the present day in a good condition.
